Instate tuition for dreamERS!

The difference in tuition can be substantial.  For the 2018-2019 academic year at the University of Wisonsin, instate tuition is $10,555.52 vs. out-of-state tuition at $36,805.28 per year putting college out of reach for highly motivated and talented individuals.

Undocumented immigrants are not eligible for Federal Student Aid making the dream of going to college impossible.

Studies have proven that an individual with a bachelors degree will earn on average more than $1,000,000 over their lifetime than someone with a high school diploma, meaning higher tax revenue.

Instate tuition laws include conditions, one of which is residency for a period of time, meaning the individual and their family unit has been living in the state contributing to the state economy and community.

Major corporations continue to list lack of skilled labor as a threat to their business.  By providing an affordable path to a college eduation, DREAMers can fill a need securing our nation's economic future.

DREAMers where brought to the United States as children and for no fault of their own.  They were raised in the United States and in most cases do not know their country of origin.  Many have served in the United States military, and per U.S. law, male immigrants have signed up for the U.S. Selective Service.  It is a matter of fairness.
